Lash extensions continue to be one of the most popular beauty salon services in the UK, and according to the latest Guild Lash Treatments survey the demand for lash extension treatments shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. This course covers the technique for eyelash extension application for both individual and flare lashes, removal and maintenance. The course includes anatomy and physiology of the hair and eye, contra-indications and contra-actions to the treatment. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is also covered.
Breakdown of Costs
£25 for online theory course.
This needs to be taken before your practical day course. Theory is done online through beauty guild, and we will set this up for you. This is a great option as you can study at your own pace, studying theory before your day course means more time for practical.
£200.00 for practical course.
This will take place on a Tuesday, Saturday or Sunday, once you have completed your theory, dates will be sent over to you to book. Course will run 10am - 4pm with a 15 min break for lunch. (times are approximate)

Frequently Asked Questions
How soon after enrolling can I start the course?
Once you have enrolled on the course and paid the course fee, you will have immediate access to the online course modules which means you can start learning straight away. Practical training will be provided within three weeks of completion of the theory aspect of the course.
How long will it take me to complete the course?
The time it takes to complete the course will depend on how quickly you learn as an individual, and also on the number of hours per day you spend on it. Most students are able to complete the course within approximately 6 hours of study. The practical element of the course will take a minimum of 4 hours depending upon the number of students.
Is there a time limit for completing the course?
Is the course accredited?
The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for membership and insurance and follows the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty, nails and holistic.
What support is available to me whilst doing the course?
All GTi courses have access to integrated email support from fully qualified therapists and tutors.
What if I am dyslexic?
Each course module includes an audio soundtrack of the course material which is ideal for students who are dyslexic.
Do I need anything special on my computer?
You will need to have a modern web browser and speakers or headphones. Please feel free to run our free trial module to check if the course will run on your computer.
How will the course be marked?
Following each course module you will take an online examination which requires a pass rate of around 70%. For the practical module you will need to demonstrate that you can perform the outlined tasks to the skill level required.
Am I allowed to refer to text books or notes during the examination?
No. You are expected to complete online tests under exam conditions without referring to any notes, text books or online help.
What if I fail a module?
If you fail a module you have the ability to re-take the examination up to 5 times. If you fail the module you will be contacted by the tutor who will offer support before making a final attempt.
What if I fail the practical assessment?
You will need to arrange another day of training with the GTi Training Centre where your practical assessment was carried out. You will be charged for this.
Do I need to complete any paperwork?
No. All examinations are completed online and a record of your marks is displayed in your login area. When you complete your practical module you may need to fill out your details as well as a review form.
What will I receive when I complete the course?
You will receive a GTi certificate in Manicure which will be available as a download to you on successful completion of the course. You can purchase a hardcopy of the course for a fee of £15+VAT.
