Massage treatments are available for anyone, whether its for relaxation purposes, for sport recovery or for pain relief. Hot stones expand blood vessels, encourages blood flow through the body. It is said hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain.

PRE CARE MASSAGE ADVICE

  •  Exfoliate your whole body prior to your treatment and leave it clean of any products.

  • Remove all jewellery before the treatment.

  • Arrive 5 minutes before your treatment so that you’ll be completely relaxed before the beginning of the treatment.

  • Avoid a heavy meal before your massage.

DURING THE TREATMENT

  • Once in the treatment room you will be asked to remove certain clothing depending on the are that is going to be massaged, your therapist will leave the room to give you time to undress and then make yourself comfortable on the bed under the towels. 

  • Relax!!!

  • Leave your worries behind you.

AFTERCARE

  • Drink plenty of water for 24 hours after your massage as your lymph nodes, which have been stimulated, are removing toxins from the body. Your urine might be much darker than usual – this is due to the toxins leaving your body.

  • Avoid alcohol, smoking, caffeine and fizzy drinks as they can dehydrate your body and add more toxins to your body. This would reverse the effects of the massage, since the massage is in-turn aiding the body in removing the accumulation of toxins.

  • Relax – don’t do anything strenuous and rest.

  • Avoid direct sunlight – essential oils can make skin photosensitive and more susceptible to burning.

  • Avoid eating a heavy and especially spicy meal so your body can focus on natural healing and detoxifying itself.
