I'm Ffion a qualified nail educator, salon owner, and working nail tech with over 16 years of hands-on industry experience.

But I wasn't always confident or sure of my path.

When I first trained, I realised how many courses left students underprepared, rushed, and overwhelmed, skipping the real-world skills you actually need to work confidently with paying clients. There was nothing that taught the full journey from beginner to confident, business-ready nail tech.

When I opened Totally Polished, I thought passion and skill would be enough. But the reality hit hard.....
There was no guidance, no roadmap, and no one warning me about the hidden costs of running a salon. I remember sitting at my desk surrounded by unexpected bills, a stock list as long as my nail desk, and no direction on how to actually attract clients who would help me pay those bills.

So I decided to make the business work, I had to invest further in learning beyond the nails. I studied how to build, manage, and grow a successful business... the kind of knowledge none of my college tutors ever mentioned.
