SALON POLICY

At Totally Polished, we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for all of our clients. To ensure that your visit goes smoothly and you receive the best possible service, we kindly ask that you review the following important information.

When Booking Your Appointment

When booking online, please take a moment to double-check that you are selecting the correct treatment:

  • Removal: If you currently have gel or builder gel on your nails, please ensure that a removal is included in your booking. This is necessary for proper removal and application of your new treatment.

  • Nail Art: If you would like nail art included in your treatment, please be sure to book this service separately for the correct timing allocation.

Please be aware that incorrect bookings may result in your treatment not being able to proceed as planned.

Additionally, it is important to ensure you are available for the entire duration of your treatment. The allocated time is essential for us to provide the service to the highest standards.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that situations can change unexpectedly, but as a small business, we rely on our bookings to maintain smooth operations. Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure fairness to both our clients and our therapists.

  • Cancellations or Rescheduling: We kindly ask that any cancellations or appointment changes be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours will incur a 50% charge of the treatment price.

  • Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, we are happy to accommodate. However, a cancellation fee will still apply if the change is made within 48 hours of the appointment.

  • No Shows: Any no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the treatment price. This payment must be made before any further appointments can be booked.

We kindly ask for your understanding, as last-minute cancellations or no-shows are difficult to fill, and impact both the salon and our therapists.

Late Arrivals

If you are running late for your appointment, please call the salon as soon as possible or contact your therapist directly. We will always do our best to accommodate you; however, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to complete your treatment, and a no-show fee may be charged.

Booking Deposit

When booking an appointment with us, you may be prompted to pay a 50% deposit to secure your booking. This deposit helps ensure that your appointment is confirmed and reserved just for you.

Please note, deposits are non-refundable. However, if you need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit can be transferred to a future booking. To avoid losing your deposit, please contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment if you are unable to attend or need to make any changes.

The remaining balance will be due on the day of your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please refer to our cancellation policy for details on how the deposit is handled in those circumstances.

Waitlist Feature

We are pleased to offer a waitlist feature on our online booking system. If you cannot find an available appointment, you can submit your preferred therapist, treatment, and availability, and we will notify you if an opening becomes available.

Tipping Policy

We are grateful for your generosity, and we want to make tipping as easy as possible. You can now tip your therapist during checkout on the card machine, where the option will be available. Alternatively, you can leave a tip after your treatment via the email receipt you receive.

Please note that tipping is entirely optional and appreciated. All tips go directly to your therapist.

Child Policy

For health and safety reasons, we are no longer able to allow children in the salon during treatments. Given the nature of our services, which involve sharp tools and chemicals, we want to ensure the safety of both your child and our clients. We ask that you please come to your appointment alone to fully enjoy your treatment in a safe and relaxing environment.

Gift Vouchers

We are pleased to offer a waitlist feature on our online booking system. If you cannot find an available appointment, you can submit your preferred therapist, treatment, and availability, and we will notify you if an opening becomes available.

Age Restrictions

Please be advised that, due to insurance requirements, we are unable to carry out treatments on individuals under the age of 16. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Payments

We accept all major debit and credit cards (excluding Amex), cash, and Apple Pay. Please note that card transactions must be £10.00 or over.

Complaints and Feedback

Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you have any concerns or feedback, please contact us via our customer service email, and we will respond within 48 hours.

Patch Tests

A patch test is required at least 48 hours before receiving the following treatments:

  • Lash Tinting

  • Brow Tinting

  • Lash Lifting

  • Lash Extensions

  • Brow Lamination

Please note that we do not accept disclaimer forms. If you have not had a patch test, your treatment cannot go ahead. You can book a patch test through our online booking system or by calling the salon directly.
